Midas Minibus Driver Training.

MiDAS is the Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme and is administered by the Community Transport Association.

The scheme provides a nationally recognised standard for the assessment and training of minibus drivers

It has been designed to enhance minibus driving standards and promote the safer operation of minibuses.

MiDAS is available to any organisation operating or using minibuses.

Organisations that train their drivers in MiDAS range from small voluntary organisations

With one vehicle, to local authorities operating large fleets of minibuses as well as schools, colleges and universities.

MiDAS Minibus course dates for 2023       
         
         
Wednesday 11th, Thursday 12th, Tuesday 17th, Wednesday 18th and Wednesday 25th January 2023      
         
Thursday 2nd, Friday 3rd, Tuesday 7th, Wednesday 8th, Thursday 16th, Wednesday 21st, Monday 27th and Thursday 28th February 2023

MiDAS operates on a ‘cascade’ model.

CTA appoints a number of Training Agents (TAs), who provide training for a larger number of Driver Assessor Trainers (DATs)

They then train and assess individual minibus drivers within organisations.

The Community Transport Association (CTA) is a national charity that represents and supports providers of community transport

  1. thousands of local charities
  2. and community groups across the UK that all provide transport services that fulfil a social purpose and community benefit.

This training course is suitable for people looking for the MiDAS accreditation which is required by many local authorities, schools, residential homes and days centres etc that are operating vehicles ( minibuses ) with and without wheel chair accessibility.
